[01] THE OPERATION
What is going on?
This September, 400 live players from diverse backgrounds are converging in Austin, TX for a real-life wargaming and social coordination summit. Accompanied by a potentially infinite number of online participants, players will test the boundaries of Outpost and Outreach in a 21st-century civilian network context.
The core question being tested: What do players decide to do?
- Day 1: Outpost. Answer the call. Where do you hail from? What is the best of your culture? Why are you on pilgrimage here today? Form your unit, establish your shared beliefs, and build your team identity.
- Days 2 & 3: Operations. Engage the mechanics of the game. Propagate your values, execute your strategies, and compete to win across multiple metrics—from most integrated operations to fan favorites.
[02] UNIT ARCHITECTURE
The 11-Player Organism
Each team consists of 10 IRL players operating on the ground in Austin, plus the critical 11th Player—the online plur. This plural virtual intelligence acts as your collective entity and internal audience.
Teams independently allocate their 10 physical players across four distinct operational roles. We provide the template; you decide whether to follow or diverge:
| Role | Designation | Directive |
|---|---|---|
| Offenders | Red Team | Attack, disrupt, and expand operational footprint. |
| Defenders | Blue Team | Protect assets, secure information, and hold ground. |
| Coordinators | Internal Operators | Drive cohesion and create density within the team network. |
| Leaders | The Vanguard | Shoulder the burden. Enable the team to operate autonomously yet collaboratively. |
[03] THE ARSENAL
Spice 2.2 Cards
To execute operations and engage both the external global audience and your 11th player organism, units will utilize the Spice 2.2 framework. Modeled off cutting-edge military research, these action cards dictate the mechanics of the game.
Master the cards, learn the game, and optimize your operations to win.
(Detailed operational parameters to be released.)
